First off, I love getting mail. Even better is mail with books inside that I’ve ordered. However, I have to say surprise book gifts take the cake. And my birthday isn’t even here yet 🙂 Thanks Bonnie for sending me my first Terry Pratchett book. And I’ve been wanting that Amy Poehler book ever since I saw her at BookCon. She is simply delightful. Also hat tip to Katie (faintingviolet) for organizing and your holiday card.

I want to be friends with Amy Poehler
As far as I can tell, I’m the fifth Cannonballer so far to read and review Amy Poehler’s new book Yes, Please. I’ve liked Amy Poehler in Mean Girls and on SNL, and I love […]
yes,please
Amy Poehler is my hero. She’s funny and sassy and she wrote a kick ass book. It doesn’t follow the normal Chronological Celebrity Memoir formula: growing up, struggling, big break… Rather she jumps around in time and has a bit of an ‘advice’ vibe going on but it’s all amazing. There are pictures, and I love me some celebrity candid photos. She touches very briefly on her divorce from Will Arnett but she gushes about her new relationship with Nick Kroll. Her children are mentioned […]
Amy Poehler is basically perfect.
I have been slacking. I’ve been slacking big time. A large part of that is due to a lit class that required me to read 7 novels in 7 weeks and effectively burned me out on reading, period. I should probably review those, but frankly, they were pretty boring books that I don’t want to think about. Instead, I give you my palate cleanser. I love Amy Poehler. I loved her on SNL, I love her on Parks and Rec. I think she’s hilarious, smart, […]
