If Shadow and Bone had been my introduction to either Leigh Bardugo’s work or the Grishaverse, I may have decided not for me. This one was fine! I liked the ending much better than I liked the first third or so. I saved this for Halloween* and I’m so glad I did. It was so atmospheric and spooky and fun, with great worldbuilding and great characters.
