Also I just watched Girls Trip for the first time and it was pretty great.

The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish

March 9, 2019 by narfna Leave a Comment

This was a pretty good listen. There were parts during the first third or so where I was actually laughing out loud, and I don’t do that very much. Mostly it’s just inward laughter or maybe a small noise of some sort to indicate my own amusement to myself. She was cracking me up, though (definitely do the audio if you’re going to do it at all; the swamp tour story alone is worth it). But then a single chapter had to go and ruin […]

You kill them with your success

May 5, 2018 by Sophia Leave a Comment

I’m not sure how I’d missed Tiffany Haddish before, but I first saw her on The Daily Show promoting her new book, The Last Black Unicorn (2017). She was energetic, hilarious, and optimistic. You could see Trevor Noah was delighted by her, and so was I. I immediately got myself on the wait list for her audio book. I usually prefer to read books, but I figured since Haddish was reading her own book, she would bring something more to it. And I was right. I was […]

Sounds Like Her

April 18, 2018 by ASKReviews Leave a Comment

Best for: People who enjoy Tiffany Haddish In a nutshell: Comedian and actor Tiffany Haddish shares stories – some hilarious, some serious – from her life. Worth quoting: “I try to forgive him. I really do try to find a place of forgiveness in my heart for him. That shit is hard, though.” Why I chose it: I was about to board a nine-hour flight, and thought this would be a good choice for helping the time pass quickly. I was right. Review: Some memoirs […]

“You kill them with your success. Then they’ll have to kiss your motherfucking feet.”

March 18, 2018 by Caitlin_D Leave a Comment

After a string of lack luster reads I treated myself to Tiffany Haddish’s The Last Black Unicorn from Audible since it’s been getting great reviews and who doesn’t love Tiffany Haddish? I discovered Tiffany Haddish when Pajiba (or maybe it was Celebitchy) posted her interview with Jimmy Kimmel about taking the Fresh Prince of Bel Air on a Louisiana swamp tour. I didn’t see Girl’s Trip in theaters, my husband and I usually only see “blow-em up” movies on the big screen, but I recently saw it and […]

Can I be friends with Tiffany Haddish plz?

February 25, 2018 by teresaelectro 7 Comments

Tiffany Haddish‘s memoir The Last Black Unicorn is a trip! I first came across her on Jimmy Kimmel  retelling her now famous swamp tour Groupon story. She was hilarious and seemed like a ton of a fun. I’m so happy Groupon figured out what is up and has her doing commercials. I knew she was a comedian and starred in Girls Trip, but beyond that I didn’t know much about her. Thus, I was super pumped to read her book. And it did not disappoint! If you […]
