A TV Tie-in that Works

The Rise of Kyoshi by F. C. Yee

The Shadow of Kyoshi by F. C. Yee

The Avatar series is one of my favorite animated series of all time. If you doubt me, take a good look at my blog ‘avatar’, which I’ve had since I first signed up for Cannonball Read; maybe a bit familiar, even if a little bit cropped? So, of course, I’m a little excited to hear there will be a new installment to the series soon; pity it’s still quite a while away. And while I’ve tried the comics/graphic novels, they’re little less mature than I […]

Like we saw of Kyoshi in A:TLA, she is hyper-focused on the concept of justice. But what is […]

This is a media-tie in novel, but it’s also just a good fantasy novel.

This was so good! I hope there are ten more of them. I watched Avatar: The Last Airbender when it was on Netflix the first time, around 2010 or so, and fell in love with it. I rewatched it probably three times in the next couple years, and then one day it was gone from Netflix. This was sad. So I had to buy the DVDs. Since then, about once a year I just get this craving to return to this world and rewatch, and I’ve […]
