This is a collection of short stories featuring Harry Dresden, and Jim Butcher introduces each one, explaining which collection it was first included in, or what purpose it was written for. I wouldn’t advise anyone who hasn’t read up to, and finished, at least book 12, Changes, as the last novella in the book takes place immediately after the events in that book, and it contains several spoilers. A lot of things can change in six months
3.5 stars Again, this is a book that I don’t actually want to post about here, because if you haven’t read the previous 12 books in the series, it’s probably best if you know as little as possible about what this book is about. A member of the senior council of wizards is murdered. Harry has to clear the name of his nemesis.
This is the eleventh book in the Dresden Files. You don’t want to start with this one, there’s far too much in the book building on stuff already established. Harry Dresden is extremely surprised when Morgan, the wizard whose probably shown the most animosity towards Harry in the past, shows […]

Chicago wizard and now a Warden of the White Council, Harry Dresden, gets called in by his friend Sgt. Karrin Murphy (she got demoted after helping Harry out in the last book) to look into a series of mysterious deaths. A lot of women have been found dead around Chicago, in what appears at first glance to be suicides, but Murphy and her team at Special Investigations can tell something is off, and Harry finds magically hidden writing that suggests the women have been killed […]
