I signed up for a free trial of Kindle Unlimited, which I’m mostly enjoying. I also have a subscription to Libby through my library. These freebies add up to me listening to a LOT of “thrillers”, most of which aren’t terribly thrilling. Yet I keep downloading them, because sometimes they’re amazing (The Butterfly Collector! Burying the Honey Suckle Girls!). But mostly they fall right in that 3 star range that’s so hard to review. I’m only 21 reviews behind right now and determined not to […]

Creepy People Gonna Creep…and a Girl is Gonna Disappear

I am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll

February 26, 2019 by Melina Leave a Comment

Sarah and Anna are best friends, excited to be done school, ready to blow off some steam in the city before they take their A Levels later that summer.  Full of verve and vivacity, they catch the eye of Ella Longfield, a middle aged mom headed off to attend a florist’s convention.  They also catch the eye of two handsome young men that seem very taken by the ladies, buying them beer, flirting and to the horror of Ella, sharing honestly that they had both […]

He’ll be watching you… OR She’ll be watching you…

March 14, 2018 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

I think this might’ve been a Kindle First?  I can’t remember.  I do remember (because I just finished it last night) that I liked it though! This book goes through the classic question of “If you saw something not quite right, would you do something about it?” A woman (Ella) sees two young girls on a train.  Two recently released convicts (she finds out while casually listening to the conversation) strike up their acquaintance on the train.  Ella is alarmed and wants to call someone […]

A Suspenseful Thrilling Mystery… NOT!

February 26, 2018 by Tereasa Leave a Comment

I chose I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll as my Kindle First book last September. It seemed the most appealing of the choices, and honestly, it’s the only Kindle First book I’ve read out of the handful residing on my e-reader. I needed a quick easy read after struggling through my previous book, and I can usually get sucked into good suspense. I Am Watching You tells the story of a missing girl, Anna, from the perspectives of a witness, her father, her best friend, a […]
