“Men who were delicious enough to make you lose your head should be imbibed sensibly.”

The Princess Trap by Talia Hibbert

November 24, 2023 by narfna Leave a Comment

Not my fave of hers but still cute. Having a little trouble coming up with anything to say because this is so solidly in the ‘just fine’ category in my mind, which is unusual for a Talia Hibbert. Usually if nothing else, her narrative voice pulls me through and gives the book a boost. This book follows Cherry and Ruben. Cherry is working for a corporate academy school, and Ruben is a prince of a made up country I can’t remember the name of. He […]

Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert

If you love Talia Hibbert and you love YA novels, you’re going to love this book. If you love fun YA novels,  you are going to be obsessed with this. If you love Talia Hibbert and you hate YA novels with a fiery passion, you are going to be okay anyway. I fall into the latter category, just so my biases are front and centre for ya. Plot: Celine is an overachieving nerd with a goal of becoming a kickass corporate lawyer so she could […]

Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert

August 20, 2023 by RevGirlUtena Leave a Comment

I have read Talia Hibbert’s Brown Sisters trilogy and found it adorable, but that was very much an adult series. I was interested to see what she would do with a YA book, so when I saw the CBR Book Club was reading this, I picked up a copy. Bradley and Celine were childhood best friends. Then he got popular, and she got…weird. He wanted to make friends and join the soccer team and she wanted to make a podcast about conspiracy theories. Now they […]

I can’t think of a reason not to give this five stars.

Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert

May 19, 2023 by narfna Leave a Comment

Just FYI, I do not want to write this review. I’m feeling real cranky but I need to catch up on reviews, and it just so happens that I have to write a review for this book that was just a perfect little YA romance that I don’t have much to say about (this may change as I type), so I’m just basically starting this review by stream-of-conscious word vomiting to try to get the thoughts flowing because I read this back in fEbRuArY. Oh, […]

#CannonBookClub June 2023 Book Announcement

May 10, 2023 by elisamaza76 9 Comments

Hello, Cannonballers! Whether school’s out or not, the time for summer book club is nearly upon us. Since I decided that my first time participating in CannonBookClub in any way, shape, or form should involve me organizing and hosting, I figured the smart plan would be to keep things simple: one book, nothing too heavy. It was a good plan, but then I remembered that much like summer in the hometown I’ll soon be moving back to (New Orleans, LA), I have ZERO chill. So, […]
