I learned so many Scandinavian swears!

Ship Wrecked (Spoiler Alert, #3) by Olivia Dade

December 31, 2022 by narfna Leave a Comment

Ship Wrecked is the third and final book in Olivia Dade’s series about actors from a Game of Thrones-esque TV show finding love. This one follows co-stars Maria and Peter, who film alone on a small Irish island for six years, and build an intense bond. I continue to like not love this series, unfortunately. I’m hoping eventually I will wholeheartedly five-star love a book by Olivia Dade again (the only one so far is the excellent Teach Me) but it hasn’t happened. I suppose […]

No one in their right mind would unironically refer to a sexy grown man as sötnos

Ship Wrecked by Olivia Dade

Maria and Peter share one unforgettable night of passion together, which leads to some awkwardness after Maria leaves without so much as a note the next morning. They then discover that they’re about to become co-stars on the incredibly popular fantasy show Gods of the Gates. As their characters’ storylines involved being ship-wrecked on a small island by themselves, Maria and Peter, along with a small film crew are basically supposed to stay on location for years, and after they work through the awkwardness of […]

A Series Ender that Gave Me Better than I Expected

Ship Wrecked by Olivia Dade

I am unsure how to review this book. I loved it. I knew I was going to love it. I am enthralled with the choices Olivia Dade makes with her main characters throughout this three book series (this being the finale following Spoiler Alert and All the Feels). I want everyone to read it and have the same experience that I did. I’m aware that most likely not everyone will as I think there’s a certain kind of lived experience needed to fully grapple with […]

You’re my beloved skitstövel (sh*t boot).

Ship Wrecked by Olivia Dade

Ship Wrecked starts with orgasms and then becomes a slow burn. Olivia Dade’s Spoiler Alert series has centered around a Game of Thrones-esque tv series called Gods of the Gates. In Spoiler Alert and All the Feels, we’ve seen Maria and Peter, two of the actors, flirt and banter in cast interviews and group chats. I try not to develop expectations about how a book is going to go, but even so, I was not expecting Peter and Maria’s journey to relationship. There’s one particular moment […]
