The Saga re-read continues. I’m still in love with this series. It’s rare to have humor, sorrow, wit, action, adventure, and beautiful drawings married in one text, but this is that text. Volume Four would be my sole four star rated volume, but I am refusing to grade these against themselves, they are collectively some of the best storytelling I have read and will all be given five stars, regardless of swings in execution from volume to volume. The Saga continues…again. Volume 4. This is getting serious.

Volume 4 of this incredible series keeps its foot on the gas. Marco and Alana seem to be hitting some problems in their relationship. Okay, yeah, so the entire story hinges on them having to run from multiple groups of people trying to kill them, so it hasn’t really been a cake walk persay, but as a couple, they have been a passionate sexy love bomb for quite awhile. The depressing one.

Oh, this one was painful, and not necessarily in that IT HURTS SO GOOD way (except for that last panel). Some of it was just downright unpleasant to read.
