I knew next to nothing about Cleopatra going into this one. I know she lead Egypt at some point and had an affair with Marc Antony and that all of this caused a Mediterranean kerfuffle in the time of the Roman Empire. Slow going

Semper Fidelis by Ruth Downie

This was a super slow read. I bought this at a book swap, not realizing it was the fourth book in this series. The series follows a physician in the Roman army under the rule of Hadrian.
