That novel was published in 1989 and this collection in 2011, so it’s fair to wonder how and why the character stayed with McCammon so long, especially given the sheer amount of writing her did in between. Red Pill – 3/5 This novel came out in 2019, but leads up to and ends at the 2016 US presidential race. There’s also plenty of energy connected to the Brexit vote too given that both Kunzru and his narrator are British.
