3.5 stars. I needed a palate cleanser after going from unbearably grim with Out to sickly sweet with Romancing the Duke. I was in the market for something less polarizing and more neutral in tone. My YA-themed book club has been picking mostly winners lately. But every now and then, we hit a bump in the road and the book turns out to be one that we generally don’t care for (Plain Kate, Anna Dressed in Blood).
