Buzzword Cover Challenge 25: Skyline CBR17 Pie Chart Challenge: Diversity Yet again resorting to the official plot summary, because I finished this in mid-April and I just cannot remember all the of details of the plot anymore: At thirty-five, with a stable job as an accountant, Mira Chaudhary wants nothing more than to find a boring man to spend the rest of her life with. Having had enough excitement in her younger days and desperately trying to escape her dysfunctional past, she turns to a […]

What happens in Vegas might not stay in Vegas

Partners in Crime by Alisha Rai

When I picked up “Partners in Crime” by Alisha Rai, I had big expectations. I loved Rai’s Modern Love series so much and this book had big shoes to fill. Luckily, this book ended up being such a fun and wild romp. The story follows Mira Chaudhary, a mid-30s accountant who is looking for a stable man to settle down with. She turns to a matchmaker for Indian American singles and meets Naveen Desai, a lawyer at one of the best law firms in the […]

A late-night romance adventure in Vegas

Partners in Crime by Alisha Rai

December 29, 2022 by teresaelectro 2 Comments

I was lucky to read an ARC of Alisha Rai’s Partners in Crime. My friend Sarah also demanded I read it. She wanted someone to gush about it with before the release. After I read Emmalita’s rave review, I simply had to read it ASAP. It was a tough ask because I have a TBR mountain of books in my house. I did manage to read it before hosting the author’s LA launch event at The Ripped Bodice. We meet the beautiful Mira as she […]

“You want us to Molotov cocktail our way out of here.” He gestured. “It would be a distraction, at least.”

Partners in Crime by Alisha Rai

Partners in Crime is the Alisha Rai book I’ve always wanted. I had such a good time with this. Exes Mira and Naveen get kidnapped together and work together to get themselves out of the trouble Mira’s late father got them into. This is a fun ride, and I recommend not thinking to hard about time. If the last couple of years have taught us anything, time is fake. Also fake – Mira’s name and utterly boring accountant persona. Even more fake – the reasons […]
