A moody Vampire falls in love with an Ice Fey-Valkyrie

Untouchable (Immortals After Dark Book 7) by Kresley Cole

December 22, 2020 by teresaelectro Leave a Comment

I’m still deep into the Immortals After Dark series. I absolutely breezed through the four books featuring the brothers Wroth. Bless Robert Petkoff and his gripping narration. I really feel like all these characters are distinct when listening. The Wroths are from Eastern Europe. They were turned vampires during a deadly war. Each brother broods in his own way. Untouchable, which is part of the anthology Deep Kiss of Winter, is the seventh book that focuses on Murdoch Wroth. He seems to be the most dependable […]

Exeunt, Pursued by a Werebear

Big Bad Wolf by Suleikha Snyder

December 21, 2020 by Emmalita 5 Comments

At the beginning of this year, I reviewed Suleikha Snyder’s short story anthology, Prem Numbers, and said Snyder wrote “radical hope and face sitting.” I’m a fan of her work. She is not a low angst author. Her lovers are passionate. Her stories have all the angst and agony of love in a world that will punish people for looking the wrong way and loving the wrong way. She carves out pockets of safe space for her characters to love in and it feels like […]

If You Aren’t Reading Ilona Andrews, You Should Be.

Emerald Blaze by Ilona Andrews

November 4, 2020 by Emmalita Leave a Comment

I read this MONTHS ago and now I’m going to try to write a review, but there are two important things: If you have read Emerald Blaze, please join me in a squee for how excellent this was. I am so looking forward to the next book, even though it has been delayed because it’s hard to be creative when the world is falling apart. If you have not read Emerald Blaze, I assume you haven’t read the Hidden Legacies series and I must ask, whhhhyyyyyyyyy not? If […]

Sexy magic boots

Kicking It by Faith Hunter and Kalayna Price

October 31, 2020 by teresaelectro 1 Comment

When the ‘rona hit, I found it hard to concentrate on a book. If you’re in a slump, I highly recommend trying an anthology from your favorite genre. Kicking It was edited by Faith Hunter and Kalayna Price. I haven’t read any Jane Yellowrock books, but her story made me order the first book. I stumbled across the anthology more so for Price who wrote the Alex Craft books, which was my be favorite series from last year. I took a lot of breaks between […]
