“Love is scary: it changes; it can go away. That’s part of the risk.”

To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han

Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

With the release of the To All the Boys P.S. I Still Love You on Netflix this week I decided to give in and read the series. I really liked the first movie in 2018 but didn’t pick the books up then. I was smitten with the movie and didn’t want to mess with that feeling. But eighteen months later I felt the time had come. In To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before we are introduced to Lara Jean Song Covey, middle sister of […]

First Love with A Lot of Good Supporting Characters

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han

June 22, 2019 by Jenny S Leave a Comment

Last fall, I watched and enjoyed the Netflix adaptation of Jenny Han’s first book about Lara Jean, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.  A few months later when I read (but did not review) the novel the film was based on—I was pleasantly surprised.  The book was even more complex and nuanced than the movie—especially with the relationship between Lara Jean, her two sisters and her father. There is more about her Korean heritage in the book and about her father’s attempts to keep […]

CBR Bingo:This is the End (and the end of my bingo card)

November 14, 2018 by Caitlin_D 5 Comments

I fell completely in love with the Netflix film adaptation of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and immediately sought out the novels it was based on. To my horror, although not surprise, there was a mile long wait list at the library and the trilogy was sold out at Barnes & Noble. Luckily the box set came back in stock and I was able to binge read the series last week. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (4.75 Stars) Lara Jean Covey lives in […]

Not as good as book one, but still worth reading.

October 9, 2018 by narfna Leave a Comment

I am sad to say that this book was not as good for me as the first one. I still loved the characters a lot, and there were still all these great, small moments peppered throughout the book. Lara Jean’s family continues to warm my heart. Peter continues to be a huge doofus. Lara Jean is a fashion icon. Some spoilers below, so be warned. I just thought this book was a little weak. Where the first book had at the center of it the whole […]
