Ruffled Feathers: an Omegaverse Romcom by Grace McGinty

Grace McGinty’s Ruffled Feathers: An Omegaverse Romcom makes for such a delightful palate cleanser after some of the truly dark romance that I’ve been reading lately. Romcom is the perfect descriptor for this luscious bonbon. There are multiple meet cutes since it’s a why choose romance. There are amusing high jinx involving adorable animals. Which is not to say that it’s completely saccharine. There are some mild taboos – the FMC and one of the MMCs are stepsiblings, but their parents didn’t meet and get […]

“All I wanted was stability. All I wanted was normalcy. All I wanted was for things to remain the same. But nothing ever stayed the same.”

Knot That Simple by Amy Oliveira

Emmalita’s review piqued my interest in Knot That Simple so I popped over and picked it up. It’s a very fast read (126 pages, apparently, although on the online Kindle reader it all melds into a pleasant blur). I got through it in short chunks in an afternoon whenever I needed a break from writing a paper. I was on Livejournal when omegaverse was created and I do like it although I only really ever read it in gay fanfiction, so straight omegaverse was out […]

Knot Guaranteed by Jillian West

Knot Wanted by Jillian West

I find myself reading a lot of Omegaverse* lately, which lead me to stumble upon Jillian West as a recommended author from Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited program. I have finished two of her novels so far, Knot Guaranteed and Knot Wanted, and found them to be essentially the same book, but an enjoyable book. Wait. Let me explain: enjoyable if you are into why choose romance that takes place in an alternate universe. Which is not to say that it reads like fantasy or science fiction, […]
