I like the illustrator Dan Santat. While I like the colors, the silliness and the medium to busy details, I have never been sure exactly what draws me. I do not know how to write up Don’t Trust Fish by Neil Sharpson and illustrator Dan Santat, other than to say, read it and find out what you think. I cannot tell you that on this one.
