The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine

March 10, 2025 by Classic Leave a Comment

I don’t have too much to say about this one outside of, not every thing needs a sequel. This was just bad. From beginning to end the only comment I had to myself was who was this for exactly? The first book ended perfectly with Daphne Parrish (the first Mrs. Parrish) getting away clean from her ex-husband and his new terrible wife. This sequel had so many ridiculous side plots that I just got fed up. And with how this second one ended, I have […]

The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine

The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine

I thought this was a very good thriller. Very intrigued how the two authors (they make up Liv Constantine) have a second book in this series. I do have to say though, this was a fun ride. You get a character you despise, one you root for, and a very satisfying ending. “The Last Mrs. Parrish” follows Amber Patterson. Amber is fed up with having nothing and sets her sight on Daphne Parrish. She sees in Daphne everything she wants and deserves in this life. […]

OK this whole Amazon Kindle and Audible collection is called “Never Tell”. It’s supposed to be about secrets, lies, and mind games. Sounds intriguing, right? Well some of these six stories were really good – like five stars good. And some of them were “but why?” mediocre. Like “I guess this story had to be told, but why?” I’ll rank them in order from five stars to “but why” (according to me of course). Grace Logan, a successful ghostwriter is lured in by a new […]

This is the second book I read this year, and it was nearly as painful as the first!

The Stranger in the Mirror by Liv Constantine

March 28, 2022 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

So I finished this book back in January, but I just re-read a summary of the book to refresh my memory.  Ugh.  My brain is reminding me how much I disliked this book too!  The basic story is about a woman (Addison) who’s engaged to a great sounding man.  He’s a nice, smart, intelligent guy with a good job, a pretty good family, a nice house, and he’s financially comfortable.  Addison on the other hand has a menial job, she’s pretty nice, has almost zero […]

If you like sociopaths and unreliable narrators, then have I got a book for you!

Amber wants nothing more than to live the way she thinks she deserves. She wants it all — wealth and jewels and real estate, with a rich handsome husband on her arm. In her mind, this dream life is owed to her, because her early life was one of poverty and despair. So just let her have this, ok? And it doesn’t matter if the house she wants has people living in it. Or if the man she wants is married to someone else. She […]
