“Would he see me, or himself, or both of us, or neither of us?”

Book Boyfriend by Kris Ripper

April 27, 2022 by llamareadsbooks 4 Comments

First off, this cover is so eye-catching and gorgeous! I’ve read several of this author’s books before and was very interested in zir take on a friends-to-lovers romance. While this book wasn’t quite what I was expecting, it was a very fulfilling (and hilarious) romance. Preston’s been pining over his best friend Art since a drunken kiss in college. So when Art breaks up with their latest partner, of course Preston offers them a place to stay. But every time Preston imagines telling Art how […]

Kris Ripper takes on the grand gesture and the grovel in Book Boyfriend. Preston has been in love with his friend and former college roommate, Art, for years. He sees an opportunity to show Art that he would […]

A Romance All About Expectations

The Life Revamp by Kris Ripper

November 20, 2021 by faintingviolet 2 Comments

I received an ARC from Carina Press via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The Life Revamp publishes November 30th, 2021. This was a first for me, a romance featuring a polyamorous relationship, but one I had been looking for. Kris Ritter’s The Life Revamp tells the story of Mason, who wants to fall in love, get married and live happily ever after. You know, live the fairytale a little. His luck has been less than stellar, including being left at the alter as […]

“This sort of thing happens more and more as I age out of ‘attractive and unattached’ territory and into ‘destined to die a spinster’ territory.“

What do you do when what you want more than anything is to get married, but your perfect man is married to the woman who set the two of you up on a blind date? Meanwhile, his friend Claris has finally nagged him into agreeing to a date with her husband, a fashion designer named Diego. They are in an open relationship. While Mason is […]
