This kind of reminded me of the Greg Bear book I read recently: very detailed, drops you right in to the story without explaining much, big grand ideas about the future. Like, don’t be fooled by the gorgeous cover and the sassy blurb on the back cover, or even the simplicity and witty intrigue of the prose if you happen to glance at the first page.
