Chefs at Home by 54 leading chefs

April 7, 2021 by kittenkong42 Leave a Comment

The Coronavirus lockdowns haven’t been easy to deal with for those in the hospitality sector. In the last year a lot of restaurants and pubs have had to try new things like delivery, food boxes, and many have also supported public services by preparing food for hospitals etc. And still it’s been hard for many in the industry and the charity Hospitality Action is there to support those in need in the sector. This cookbook is one of the things they’ve produced to help and […]

November Fundraising: The Best Thing That Happened to Me This Week Was You

November 20, 2020 by MsWas Leave a Comment

In this dumpster fire of a year, the most unexpected highlights in my 2020 turned out to be you, Cannonballers. Just this week, one of LanierHgts’s reviews garnered a comment from the author, Phyllis Fagell, saying that this review was the best thing that happened to her this week. December 29, 2019 by MsWas 3 Comments

I’m thrilled to announce that thanks to  your generosity, we were able to donate $1,350 to the American Cancer Society today. That’s the largest single donation we’ve ever made, and it brings our annual total to $1,675. Over all these years, we’ve donated $6,600 so far to the ACS in AlabamaPink’s name. Thank you everyone, from the bottom of my heart.

Congratulations to elemenopee, the winner of our 2019 33 Days of Giving Prize Pack! Thanks to everyone who donated to support our mission of sticking it to cancer one book at a time in our 33 Days of Giving fundraiser! In total we raised $1,750.00 – more than last year. Don’t forget though, we welcome donations year-round, and there are other ways to help support our mission.
