“Googling ‘what to wear to an orgy’ had resulted in little assistance.”

April 17, 2015 by alwaysanswerb 5 Comments

I picked up A Gentleman in the Street because I had read that it’s pretty good erotica (check) with a reversal on the rich-guy-poor-girl scheme (check) AND the heroine is very experienced and the guy doesn’t have a problem with it (check.) So if that sounds like something you’d want to read, it’s worth checking out this book. Goodreads says: “Billionaire businesswoman Akira Mori can get anything and anyone her heart desires. Anyone, that is, except for a certain aloof author who has been dominating her […]

Fifty Shades of Liveblogging Part II (with even more NSFW Language and an updated drinking game)

March 21, 2015 by TyburnBlossom 4 Comments

I already liveblogged reading Fifty Shades of Grey, wherein there was a lot of swearing and a drinking game was born. If you missed it, you can find it here. There’s…um…a lot more swearing this time. And an updated version of the drinking game at the end.

50 Shades of Liveblogging and a Drinking Game (NSFW Language Ahoy)

March 9, 2015 by TyburnBlossom 14 Comments

Rather than attempting to review Fifty Shades of Grey, I present my live read of the book. Herein you’ll find lots of cussing, lots of shouting, and definitely not safe for work descriptions of plenty of things. And it’s very long, because it turns out I had a lot to say while I was reading. A drinking game evolved during the reading, and the whole thing has been compiled at the end, if that’s the sort of thing you’re interested in.

Beyond my horizons

February 24, 2015 by alwaysanswerb Leave a Comment

I initially grabbed Beyond Shame because it was free on Kindle, and then picked up its sequel, Beyond Control, because I was intrigued. Like many series of its ilk, it’s kind of more-of-the-same, kind of not, and YMMV on how much you enjoy each individual book based on how much you like the lead couple. The series is fairly hardcore erotic romance, and it’s definitely out of my comfort zone, so it’s kind of hard for me to review it. Public group sex is the […]

Who am I without it? Nobody, that’s who.

February 13, 2015 by Emmalita 2 Comments

I thought this review was going to be an exercise in amusing myself because the Cannonball Read shares a hashtag (#CBR7) with a tobacco free chew company that targets bull riders.  I have a lot of books on my Kindle that I picked up because they were free or super cheap and I was poor and super bored.  When I noticed who we were sharing a hashtag with, I remembered that I had a series of contemporary western romance erotica novels by Lorelei James on […]

Who knew that there was a market for gay airplane erotica?

February 11, 2015 by kdm 30 Comments

I can’t believe this is how I am starting my very first Cannonball Read.  I feel like my next review will have to be “War and Peace” for you guys to actually take me seriously.  In Russian, obviously. But before I pretend to be all respectable and stuff, let’s dive into some gay plane sex!  Shout out to Patty Smith for loaning me the book, and getting this whole mess started. Honestly, I was tempted to just post excerpts from the book with insightful comments […]
