I’ve been slowly working my way through Kim Harrison’s urban fantasy series, The Hollows. For CBR10, I’m finally reviewing the ninth book in the series, Pale Demon. The book kicks off with the powerful witch, Rachel, and her supernatural business partners and BFFs, Jinx the pixie and Ivy the living vampire, on their way to the national witches convention in San Francisco. So I’ve been doing a re-read of all of Kim Harrison’s The Hollows books in audio since March this year. This is book six in a series, it’s very much not the place to start reading. In fact, there’s a whole bunch of stuff revealed in this book that really requires prior knowledge to the books, so go start at the beginning with Dead Witch Walking. Begin with Dead Witch Walking, and possibly skip this review if you don’t want spoilers for earlier books in the series.
