While I was reading Doctor Sleep I was bouncing back and forth between my memories of the novel, written by Stephen King in 1977, and the movie adaptation by director Stanley Kubrick, from 1980. The summer before 7th grade I read ‘salems Lot. I have always been a strong reader and this wasn’t my first adult book. However this was the first book that absolutely terrified me.
