44-Year-Old Novel Finally Published, Worth the Wait
Australian writer Elizabeth Harrower published several well received novels in the late 1950’s and 1960’s. Her much anticipated fifth novel, In Certain Circles, was set to be published in 1971 when Harrower abruptly changed her mind and withheld it from publication. She essentially retired from writing shortly afterward. In 2014, Text Publishing was able to get Harrower to agree to the publication of In Certain Circles, a novel of post-war Australia that focuses on social class, trauma, and their impact on friendships and romantic relationships. Crazy like Heaven
Since I was a bit disappointed with the last couple of books I read (one quite a bit more than the other), I thought it was time to go Crazy for a while. Good old Crazy. I love Crazy. I know I shouldn’t. It’s a small, backwater, two-stoplight one-horse kind of town. (Kindle Edition, Location 42)

But it’s short (99 pages) and I figured since I just finished reading something a little bit on the heavier side I could use a little light reading. Alas. This was not the book I hoped it would be.
Your Murder Is Shedding On The Floor
Life’s full of regrets, mistakes, lost opportunities and bad memories. Sometimes you can see them in someone’s eyes or the way they act, but sometimes they’re hidden under nonchalance and a bright smile. But imagine if you couldn’t hide it-if everyone could see your past sins in a physical form?
