Liris wasn’t going to allow herself to be sacrificed without her input this time.

The Sundered Realms by Casey Blair

April 8, 2024 by Emmalita Leave a Comment

I really enjoyed The Sundered Realms and I’m very much looking forward to the rest of the series. I also think that the core element of this that I loved is going to throw some readers off. At it’s heart, The Sundered Realms is about self determination, and there is a lot of conversation and thinking about what the freedom to choose looks like. As in The Sorceress Transcendent, Casey Blair is Throws two people into a world altering adventure and then spends a great deal of […]

Smart but boring

The Sorceress Transcendent by Casey Blair

October 6, 2023 by carmelpie 4 Comments

“I’m in no rush to go anywhere.” She’d traveled plenty during the war. Seen sights, burned them. Theira was happy to stay in this place she’d carved for herself. Theira, the most powerful sorceress, is done with war. She’s done with facing off year after year against the same legions of soldiers. Varius, the legion commander, is the only thing that makes all of the murder and burning and devastation worthwhile. He is her only worthy opponent. Despite her success on the battlefield, Theira is […]

Yell if I can help dig some graves once you’re finished.

The Sorceress Transcendent by Casey Blair

I love well done enemies to lovers romance. Bonus points if it’s scifi or fantasy. The Sorceress Transcendent is fantasy. It’s a quick read, with a nice blend of action and domestic comfort. Varius and Theira have fought on opposite sides of an ever lasting war for years. Varius was a general and Theira a sorceress, second only in power to the autocratic Sorcerer Ascendant. They have studied each other on the battlefield, almost flirting through tactics. Now, pushed too far by the empire he […]
