First off, I love getting mail. Even better is mail with books inside that I’ve ordered. However, I have to say surprise book gifts take the cake. And my birthday isn’t even here yet 🙂 Thanks Bonnie for sending me my first Terry Pratchett book. And I’ve been wanting that Amy Poehler book ever since I saw her at BookCon. She is simply delightful. Also hat tip to Katie (faintingviolet) for organizing and your holiday card.
Book Exchange Bounty!
Look at these lovelies I got in the mail from the wonderful Jeena Lim AKA Jelinas! I am going to read the crap out of these! Thank you so much, and happy holidays! Thanks again to FaintingViolet for organizing the exchange. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite traditions.
Books? For me? BEST DAY EVER.
I’ve received a lot of packages in the mail, since The Chancellor and I did a majority of our Christmas shopping online this year, but it’s always been presents for someone. Not today. Today, the presents are for ME. This is the haul that I got from emmalita, who also graciously loaned me an ebook of hers to test out an author: The Chancellor read A Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs a few years back and LOVED IT. He’s been at me to […]
Huzzah, another Book Exchange!
Many many thanks to faintingviolet – not only for organizing this Book Exchange, but also for sneakily picking ME as her recipient. The mailman usually comes in the afternoon, but he must be behind with all of his deliveries, because the bell rang this morning, and it was a package for me. Now I have treats to go with my coffee and something to read on my lunch hour! Thanks so much and Happy Holidays (and Happy Reading) to everyone!
Merry Bookmas to Me!
It’s like somehow the Delivery Gods knew that I’d have to spend all day in a building where the floors were being waxed and sent a lovely surprise to cheer me up via teresaelectro!! I am so, so excited to dive into these! I’ve always wanted to check out some of Richelle Meade’s other books, so thank you! This really did make my day/week/month to get these two lovelies in the mail. You rock, teresaelectro! I now have my first couple CBR7 reads and reviews set. […]
Life’s Always Better with a Book (or two)
So, I sort of cheated this year. I volunteered to organize the Book Exchange because I loved giving and receiving books last year and selfishly wanted to do both again this year. Which means I got to assign myself my gifter and giftee (this being the cheating part). While my gift is off to its recipient today (I was even late based on the rules I made!) I now feel okay to share my gifts from Bunnybean and Joemyjoe, our Jr. Cannonballers who took part […]
