Worth the Wait! Thank You NTE!

January 9, 2021 by Emmalita Leave a Comment

Yay! My Holiday Book Exchange books arrived!!!! NTE selected some really excellent books. After hearing Roselle Lim talk on an author panel I have been dying to read her books. Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck & Fortune and Vanessa Yu’s Magical Paris Tea Shop are beautiful books and I can’t wait to read them. I reviewed an arc of A Touch of Stone and Snow last year and really wanted a physical copy for my shelf. Look at how pretty they all are!!!!!!

There’s No Need to Worry, ElCicco, I Got Them Eventually!

January 4, 2021 by LittlePlat 1 Comment

Books, Books Physical Books! Thanks so much, @ElCicco! I don’t have very many actual books here with me as an expatriate right now, so this is all very exciting. I will have to do a Yoon Ha Lee 3 in 1 review, I think. And I love that you added a little history surprise for me there—the photos are lovely!   (So I flicked through and I thought I might find her: Rachel Carson!) Like, last year, unfortunately, I haven’t been able to write up […]

Book Exchange part 2, courtesy of @teresaelectro Apologies for the sideways photo; for some reason I can’t fix that on an older I-pad.

Holiday Reading! Kitty Approved.

December 20, 2020 by CoffeeShopReader 3 Comments

Not sure which of you lovely Cannonballer’s sent this (the book, not the cat) since there was no note, but it was postmarked from a book place in TX. Anyways, you found the one branch of the Parasolverse I have not gotten to yet, so well done and thank you😁

CBR12 Book Exchange: Thank you Malin

December 19, 2020 by teresaelectro 1 Comment

Thanks Malin for sending me a new Ilona Andrew’s series to read! I read and reviewed The Edge series because of you. Excited to read another that comes highly recommended by cannonballers. And even better, you ordered from my second home, The Ripped Bodice.
