Nope, not for me.

I wanted to like this, so so much. But I had so many problems with it, and ultimately didn’t enjoy myself while reading. Like a lot of people (non-comics nerds mostly), I was introduced to Black Panther and T’Challa in Captain America: Civil War. You deserved a Wakanda that cherished you.

Wakanda is in disarray. Someone is inciting Wakandans into violence against their king. Their queen, T’challa’s sister, is in a state between living and dead. Justice results in injustice and strong men and bandits are free to abuse women. Wakanda has lost its connection to it’s heritage. Ta-Nehisi Coates brings a comic book figure to life

Because I’m not a comic book aficionado, I am positive that there are pieces I am missing out on with the Black Panther series.
