“No. You are divine. You are impossible to get enough of. Perhaps some people would disagree, but those people don’t especially matter, because you’re mine.”

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

I absolutely adored Act Your Age, Eve Brown. I *think* Take a Hint, Dani Brown is my favorite of the Brown sisters series, but this one certainly gave it a run for its money. In similar fashion to Get a Life, Chloe Brown we are in an enemies to lovers romance (which has grown on me considerably over the past few years) but in Hibbert’s hands it’s really much closer “you annoy me but once I actually get to know you I’m enamored of you” […]

I am sad to report that ‘Tasting Captain America’, the fanfic Eve mentions reading on AO3, is not real.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown (The Brown Sisters, #3) by Talia Hibbert

What a fun time. I’m going to be three for three on this series for writing inadequate reviews for how much I enjoyed them. I have not yet been satisfied by anything I have written about Talia Hibbert’s books. It escapes me how to write about them. I will say, for the first half of this book (an excellent example of the hate to love trope), this was shaping up to be my favorite of the three books. The enmity between Jacob and Eve was […]

“It sounds like your dream broke, and you’ve been picking up shattered pieces and blaming yourself when your hands bleed.”

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

March 25, 2021 by Malin 2 Comments

Eve is the youngest and seemingly flightiest of the three privileged Brown sisters. She’s always felt like the odd duck in the family, neither as focused nor as intelligent as her two older sisters and completely unable to settle on anything for very long. When she abruptly closes down her wedding planning business after one single event (a generally very successful wedding, that nevertheless descended into some chaos after Eve took it upon herself to liberate all the doves that the bride had wanted, and […]

Try for me, Eve. That’s all. Just try.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

December 2, 2020 by Emmalita 5 Comments

Eve is the youngest and flightiest of the Brown sisters. She didn’t really make much of an impression on me in her sisters’ books other than she was present when they needed her. That’s a really good characteristic, being there when needed. At the beginning of Act Your Age, Eve Brown, Eve is updating her journal explaining why she has shuttered her wedding planning business after one successful (except for one disaster) wedding. She is determined to put the incident behind her and move on to […]
