The Saga Continues

January 3, 2015 by KM Bezner Leave a Comment

If you’re a comic book reader, I shouldn’t have to tell you that you should be reading Saga. What you might not know is that the award-winning series written by Brian K Vaughan (Y the Last Man, Runaways) and illustrated by Fiona Staples (T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents) was recently released in its 4th trade paperback volume. This is a review of it. No spoilers, I promise. Read the rest of it here.

Unmoved

January 2, 2015 by alwaysanswerb Leave a Comment

The Unbroken trilogy is composed of three novellas about a group of young adult friends living in a small town in Texas. Each story is a very quick read that will probably take no longer than 2 hours for the average reader, and they’re very simple HEA (happily ever after) erotic romances that prominently feature insta-love and plenty of sex. Overhead is the story of how Luke overhears his good friend Gracie complaining to another mutual friend at a get-together that her boyfriend didn’t satisfy […]

January 1, 2015 by BookNinja 8 Comments

Thankfully, a number of things came together to allow me to discover her – a trip to the States where I got one of her books, and a Kindle, so when I got addicted, I could read more. Bet Me is the tale of two people who didn’t realise how perfect they were for each other until a bet brought them together. Cal reluctantly takes a bet to ask out Min, […]

wuthering heights

A story of incredibly passionate love and vengeance.

December 31, 2014 by AamilTheCamel 5 Comments

Fifty-second book reviewed as part of the 130 Challenge. It seems that one can only despise someone with true passion, if they have once loved them just as much. And there is no story that can equal Wuthering Heights when it comes to passion. The story is tragic, but beautifully so and the reason why tragedy is such a thing of beauty is because it takes much loving and longing to make a tragedy. Nothing that happens in Wuthering heights is subdued. There is unabashed […]
