December Stat Round-up (I’m not done yet!); and year end extravaganza!

January 22, 2018 by ingres77 9 Comments

I’m still alive! Almost three weeks into CBR10, and I’ve finally updated the data for both December and CBR9. This year end post won’t be as…..long as last years, but I think the information is presented better. As has been established, we’ll be doing something different for CBR10. I’ll be getting some help, and we’ll be updating less often. Hopefully, you won’t enjoy the updates any less, though. On with the stats! December stats: 510 reviews (Last month: 217) Average rating: 3.79 stars (Last month: […]

Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: Halbs

January 18, 2018 by MsWas 12 Comments

How many times have you participated in CBR? Has it changed the way you read? CBR10 is my fourth go-round. Participating has definitely changed the way that I read! I read more, I read more deeply, and I also read more boldly. I am more open now about being (1) an avid reader and (2) loving the books that I love. As a happy result of being more forthcoming, I’m now in a book club and a regular book exchange. That’s big for me. CBR […]

November stat round-up!

December 14, 2017 by ingres77 4 Comments

For those who didn’t see last months post, I’m not going to be continuing the stat updates in this manner next year. It’s simply become too time-consuming for me. I’m going to be limiting my updates in either scale or frequency which has yet to be determined. Note from MsWas: Have thoughts about CBR stats, standings, comparisons, or percentages? Then submit your opinions in this survey […]

Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: Emmalita

December 6, 2017 by MsWas 16 Comments

How many times have you participated in CBR? Has it changed the way you read? This is my 5th year. I think I read both more thoughtfully and with less anxiety. My first year, I was anxious and writing reviews as if they would be graded. That influenced the books I chose and the way I read them. As I became more integrated into the community, I have become less self conscious about my reading choices and more focused on what I have to say […]
