Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: teresaelectro

May 17, 2018 by Bothari43 6 Comments

How many times have you participated in CBR? Seven. Has it changed the way you read? Yes, it encouraged me to join more book clubs to read a wider variety and larger quantity of books! If you were to get a book-related tattoo, what would it be? Unfortunately, I can’t get any tattoos, but I’d probably wear a “reading is magic” temporary tattoo for fun. What are your three desert island books? Oh, this one is so hard as I read so many genres. If I’d […]

Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: ardaigle

How many times have you participated in CBR? Has it changed the way you read? First of all, I had literally no idea how many times I participated! Thanks to the immortality of WordPress, I now know I have been participating since Cannonball Read 5 (!) so this is my 6th time. I have fluctuated between doing a half and full cannonball, and this year I am back for the whole enchilada. It doesn’t change how I read, but it has changed how I retain […]

Quick Questions With a Cannonballer: dAvid

March 22, 2018 by MsWas 6 Comments

Welcome to CAnnonball ReAd! I realize it might be too early to tell, but I always ask: can you tell if it’s changing the way you read? Thanks! It’s long overdue for me to join up, but I’m having a great time so far. I’m definitely paying closer attention as I read. I worried that it would slow me down (I’ve never been a super-fast reader), but I really haven’t slowed at all. I’ve started taking a few notes as I’m reading to remember quotes […]

Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: mathildehoeg

February 12, 2018 by MsWas 8 Comments

How many times have you participated in CBR? Has it changed the way you read? I first participated in CBR6, so this would be my 4th Cannonball Read. I first signed up to motivate myself to get back into reading and my first year was a smashing success. The second and third year…we don’t speak of those. Last year I almost made my goal of 52 books, but fell short by one because Christmas and travel and other terrible excuses – I did actually read […]

Looking back on 2017… fondly?

January 30, 2018 by MsWas Leave a Comment

2017 might have been a craptacular year in many regards, but there’s one thing that was awesome: you. Yes YOU! In total, 123 Cannonballers reviewed 4,146 books. That’s 30% more than last year. We’ve read nearly 25,000 books in AlabamaPink’s name since the beginning of CBR, and we’ve donated $3,000 to the American Cancer Society in her name.
