Quick Questions with a Cannonballer: Jenna

December 14, 2021 by Bothari43 6 Comments

Your bio says your favorite genre is “takes place in an old hotel.” I love the specificity of that! Do you have a favorite “old hotel” book, or one that you think best represents the genre? I think anything Agatha Christie wrote set in a hotel or boarding house (most recently, I read N or M?) exemplifies what I love about hotel stories. There are always secret nooks and crannies, everyone knows more than they let on, and time is always of the essence because […]

Did a theme emerge? What surprised you? Is there still stuff you want to do before CBR13 ends? I’ll put my […]

Donation Good News

December 7, 2021 by MsWas 4 Comments

We heard from Bothari43 this week that her employer was offering giving dollars based on her volunteer hours with us. Because we’re a pending 501(c)(3), her volunteer work did qualify for an internal giving reward. But because we’re only pending, her donation had to go directly to the American Cancer Society. Thanks to our incredibly successful #GivingTuesday, we were able to match Bothari43’s donation with another $300 donation to the American Cancer Society this morning. With this donation, we remember AlabamaPink, and we also remember […]

A Holiday Gift With PERFECT Timing!

December 7, 2021 by MsWas 3 Comments

Here’s a HUGE thank you to LurkeyTurkey whose Holiday Gift Exchange package was sitting on my porch when I got home yesterday morning. After getting sick with what turned out to be my SECOND bad cold since the beginning of November, I’d had to drive over to my doctor’s office to make an appointment for later in the morning because their phone lines were so tied up that no calls would ring through.  And sitting on my porch was a package addressed to “The Incredible […]
