Polyesque is many things. A queer, non-binary, pagan polyamorist, writer, singer, semi-retired burlesque dancer, actress, and activist. As Femme Fae la Butche, she co-founded the White Elephant Burlesque Society in 2006 with Viktor Devonne and co-directed it with him for six years. As zirself, ze has directed and co-directed many different types of theatrical shows. As Femme Fae la Butche, ze co-founded the White Elephant Burlesque Society in 2006 with Viktor Devonne and co-directed it with him for six years. Her YA short stories have been commissioned and published in an online magazine, and zir first published erotica short story can be found in the first annual Geeky Kink Anthology by Riverdale Ave Books. Aside from writing, ze has an abiding affection for learning, leather, tea, reading, snow, driving, laughter, fountain pens, cuddling, chocolate, musicals, hiking, rose flogging, knives, kayaking, sensation play, candles, and long, intimate conversations about sex, poly, kink, and gender. Polyesque lives a block from the Jersey Shore and has previously lived as part of an intentional polycule down South. Ze is currently reorganizing her life and is looking forward to CB13 as a way to read and write more, and hopefully connect with more readers and writers.

Polyesque's Reviews:

“There is no vision without vulnerability.”

May 3, 2016 by Polyesque 2 Comments

I try, whenever I can, to dare greatly. I didn’t think of it this way until I started reading Brené Brown’s book “Daring Greatly: How The Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead”. Another way to go back to Stars Hollow

February 4, 2016 by Polyesque Leave a Comment

Did you know Netflix and DVDs are not the only way to get a Gilmore Girls fix? That’s right…there are BOOKS. Anyhoo, I’ve been a diehard Gilmore Girls fan for years now and don’t […]

Rock Star Lessons in the Forgotten Arts: Amanda Palmer tackles Vulnerability, Connection, & Asking For Help

January 27, 2016 by Polyesque 2 Comments

As a fan of The Dresden Dolls for over ten years and an avid reader, I was over the moon when I heard that Amanda Palmer was going to write a book. Even moreso when I heard that it was going to be along the same lines of work that the amazing Brené Brown (who actually wound up writing the Foreword to this book). It’s no secret that Amanda is super in touch with fans, known to put out calls via twitter for everything from advice […]
