I’m happy to announce our first donation of the year! We donated $150 to the American Cancer Society, bringing our total donated to $10,850. Many thanks to all of our recent supporters! Wrapping up CBR14

Cannonball Read, Inc. became an official 501(c)(3) organization in 2022, and not only that, we topped that milestone by reaching, and then exceeding, the $10,000 mark in our total donations to the American Cancer Society. To think all this began as a friendly wager on a pop culture site between a couple of Pajibans–AlabamaPink and Prisco! Friends, I post today to announce our latest donation of $700 to the American Cancer Society. I must admit that it’s bittersweet to write about the good news of the donation right along with the sad news of who we honor.  Jennie Baxla (baxlala) was a Cannonballer from the very beginning, and we made a donation in her memory today.
