I need to start this review off with a disclaimer. This novel is part of Amazon’s serial novels and was released a chapter at a time over the course of five months. This killed me. I hate this format and I really don’t think the novel is suited to it at all. I am a fast reader, and two weeks between chapters means that there’s anywhere from 2-6 books between each section and it’s hard to maintain a complete hold on all the little details of the novel in […]
An arranged marriage, two races who hate each other. Of this romance is born.
Radiance by Grace Draven is the book of the month for Vaginal Fantasy. I am beginning to despair over the choices made for that particular book club. It’s not that Radiance is bad exactly, it’s just a ridiculous piece of fluff that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense once you start to think about various plot elements. Brishen Khaskem is a prince of the Kai and Ildiko is a human noble woman of a neighboring kingdom. The kai and humans find each other to […]
A GMO Built Wasteland

If you’re interested in this book, obviously you should probably look at the first one first. I’m going to try to avoid spoilers for the first book here, but as this is a sequel and builds off of those events there are probably going to be at least a few. Before I start (and thus before the cut happens, so you […]

For my first book I’m presenting Speak Easy by Catherynne Valente. Zelda Fair lives in hotel Artemisia, and it’s the hotel of your 1920’s dreams. There are parties on every floor and Zelda is the toast of all of them. Frankie, a poor bellhop, is besotted with her. And Al, the underground ruler of it all, steals her away. Catherynne Valente […]
