I love to read. I'm usually reading at least 3 books at a time. They're not all good... some are really bad. I have trouble not finishing books though. Now CBR has doubled down on that trouble, because I want to get credit for reading the bad ones too!

#2 for Jennifer Knight’s paranormal investigations

August 29, 2016 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

Disclaimer: I’ve been sick with a double ear infection (in the same ear – don’t ask) for the past five days, so hopefully this all makes sense! Ok, so like I said with my review for Book 1 of this series, Jennifer Knight is a British detective, but she can also communicate with / get feelings from paranormal sources. This is normally not my jam, but the way it’s incorporated into the story is so seamless (for me) that it doesn’t jar me out of […]

Book 2 for the CSU

August 29, 2016 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

Ok, so this is book 2 for the “CSU” series by D.H. Dublin (who is apparently really Jon McGoran). Like I said in my review for Book 1 (Body Trace), I have no idea where these books came from, but I’m now currently working on Book 3, so apparently I like them :). Also, all 3 of my books are autographed by the author. I don’t remember buying them, but I really don’t know how else they got onto my bookshelf (book fairy?). Anyway, Madison […]

I found this book on my bookshelf. I’m not really sure where it came from?

August 8, 2016 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

I’m not really sure how I got this book, but I found it on my bookshelf the other day, and I guess it finally looked interesting! It’s the first book in a series of I don’t know how many books. We get introduced to a bunch of CSU characters in Philly. They are the crime scene unit investigators for the city. The only thing that I didn’t like about the story is that these CSU people are out doing detective work (interviewing suspects, going to […]

The final book in the Omega Days series

August 5, 2016 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

OK, so this is totally not the final book in the Omega Days series. Which is really a good thing. I like the characters, I like the story, and I like the world that they’re living in. For some reason I thought that this book (book 4) was the end of the line. As I was reading it, I kept saying “How are they going to tie up all of these loose ends, there are only 100 pages left?”. And then there would be 60 […]

I forgot how much I liked Lucas… Book 9 of the Prey series

August 1, 2016 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

So this is book 9 of a series I accidentally started on like book 24 or something. After I read book 24 (or whatever it was – I guess I could go back into my CBR 7 history and check, but it’s Monday, so no), I went back and started at book 1. Then I got caught up in other stuff, and forgot entirely about the prey series. My bad. Like I say in the title, I forgot how much I like Lucas Davenport, the […]

Supernatural murder mystery is a new twist for me!

July 29, 2016 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

So I can’t remember how I found this book. I think it might have been around Amazon Prime Day (if you ask my sister, who is also my next door neighbor, and we share a porch – everyday is Prime Day for me) where Amazon had a sale on their Kindle Unlimited plan. I can’t remember how much I paid, but it was significantly less than the normal price, and it allows you to take out up to 10 kindle books at a time from […]
