So this book is another audiobook that I borrowed from my library. It’s narrated by a British guy, so everything sounds better. I love love love the way he says the name of the town/district this all occurs in. I just repeat “Robongi” over and over in my head after I’m done listening. SPOILERS AHOY! Lucie Blackman was a young, tall, blonde girl from England. She lived a fairly normal life, and had a sister named Sophie, and a brother (whose name I can’t remember […]
Another Alice story…
I’m not really sure where to begin with this book. It’s super weird, but kinda fun at the same time. I’m nearly positive I liked it! It was a quick read too. There’s a while bunch of other books in the series, so I’m definitely continuing on with Alice’s tales. So I’ll just start where the book starts. There’s a murder of a girl at Oxford University, and it looks like the Cheshire Cat did it. Like this guy: From Alice in Wonderland. Except in […]
Something’s afoot on the fjords
So once again, I can’t remember how I got onto this book, but I feel like someone recommended it to me. I put it on hold at my library like 4 months ago, and there were 52 people ahead of me. I finally just got it last weekend. At my library, you can’t renew books that have holds on them, so I knew I only had two weeks to read this one. It only took me 3 days. And if I started earlier on day […]
This one seems better
Forty-seven hours of book!
So this is a newer, more inclusive, unabridged version of The Stand. There are some extra details that weren’t in the original book. Having never read the original book, I will not know the difference. The audiobook (which I borrowed from my library and downloaded immediately!) is forty-seven hours. I’m determined to finish it in less than forty-seven days! I’m going to split up my review into a bunch of parts, because with a book this long, I don’t want stuff to get missed. OVERALL […]
I’m not sure about this series
OK, so according to the description on Amazon, it’s been nearly two years since Alice went down the rabbit hole and met the Biter queen (See my CBR8 review #48). Her and her people and her biters have been through a lot. I think it was book 2 (CBR8 review #49) where her people started to be kinda ok with the biters. They also started communicating with the American resistance in that book. We start this book with a nuclear explosion in Shanghai. I can’t […]
