I love to read. I'm usually reading at least 3 books at a time. They're not all good... some are really bad. I have trouble not finishing books though. Now CBR has doubled down on that trouble, because I want to get credit for reading the bad ones too!

kfishgirl's Reviews:

OMG this was bad. Like bad, but I still wanted to read it bad.

Thank goodness I borrowed this ebook for free from the library.  The last ebook I reviewed here (Sense and Insensibility), I paid about $4 for, and I would’ve paid double, because it was awesome.  I just went to Amazon to get the link for this post, and saw that this is $7.  I maybe maybe maybe would’ve paid a dollar, but absolutely no more than that.  Anyway, like my title says, it was not a good book.  However, I wanted to read it to the […]

I loved this book

September 15, 2017 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

I just need to get this out of the way first.  I know the author of this book (her real name is not Maggie Preston).  She works with me, and I really like her.  We were out at happy hour one night, and she was like “oh yeah, I wrote a book.”  So, being the Amazonwhore that I am, I immediately bought it.  Like from my phone at the table.  It’s only $4 for the Kindle edition (it looks like it’s only on Kindle).  I’m […]

It all started with a private jet

So I randomly picked this audiobook out at my local library.  I was there with my nieces to read to dogs. Sidebar – my library has this awesome program where young readers can read whatever book they want to therapy dogs.  It’s awesome, and my seven year old niece looks forward to it every month! This is her reading Dragons Love Tacos to one of the dogs a few months ago.             Aaaaanyway, back to this book.  I realized after […]

I wanted this to be awesome

Ok so let’s just get this out of the way.  I read R.L. Stine books when I was younger, but I quickly outgrew them and moved on to Christopher Pike books.  He was a little bit more advanced than R.L. Stine.  Still – Stine was a big early influence on my enjoyment of horror / scary books.  So, I had high hopes for this “adult” story. It wasn’t bad.  It was absolutely a page turner, and I love that in a book.  It just could’ve […]

Zoey’s Final Chapter

September 6, 2017 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

So this is book three of the Dominion Trilogy.  I still don’t know why it’s called that.  I liked the trilogy as a whole, and I liked this book too.  It really did wrap up all of the story lines, and it wasn’t too much of a perfect happy ending.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty happy ending, but there are still some things that make it a little more believable.  I just read someone’s Amazon review of this book, and they kinda echoed […]

Zoey is strong, tough, and super stubborn

August 18, 2017 by kfishgirl Leave a Comment

This is Book one of “The Dominion Trilogy”.  All three books in the trilogy were available on Kindle Unlimited, so I downloaded all three and started at one! We open the story by meeting Zoey.  She has no last name, and we find out quickly that she’s nearly 21.  She lives in some sort of facility that is very strict.  Throughout the story, we learn that she doesn’t know her parents, she doesn’t have any siblings, and she’s with other girls in the same boat. […]
