A beautifully written thriller

How can a suspenseful thriller be written so beautifully it is almost poetic, you ask? Well here is your answer. Jane Harper has written a book where the descriptions of the Australian outback are absolutely beautifully described.  There were a number of times whilst reading this book that I needed to stop and spend a moment or two appreciating the beauty of the writing. Let me begin by saying that I am a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is one of my favourite movies. I’ll never look at a snowman the same way again!

Wow! I have just read “The Snowman” by Jo Nesbo and what a read it was! I basically read the whole thing in one night because I could not put the book down. It took me a little bit of time to get into the book, as it required some concentration at the start with the Norwegian names and a variety of characters.
