“Every Summer After” follows Persephone (Percy) Fraser who is living, but not happy. She still is coming to grips that none of her relationships matter to her, and that the one boy she fell for, Sam, she hasn’t spoken to in about 12 years. And with that trip back to the lake, she has to come to […]

Love at First Sight by Laura Jane Williams

Love at First Sight by Laura Jane Williams

Please note that I read this book via NetGalley. This did not affect my review or rating. I really wanted to like this book, but honestly it was driving me up the wall. The FMC, Jessie, drove me up the wall the entire book. She didn’t see the forest for the trees and I was tired of her swooning over a guy who was not worth it. I really wish that we had invested more in her relationship with her best friend, provided more backstory […]

A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston

A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston

July 23, 2025 by Classic Leave a Comment

I went back and forth on the rating on this one, and only because parts of it dragged. However, when Poston got into the rhythm of the book it really came together. How many romance readers among us would not love to be able to step into a romance series we love? It was a great premise and I liked the magical realism parts of the book a lot. I think the biggest issue I had was liking the character of Eileen. I just found […]

Home by Martha Wells

I know this is really short, but I loved it. It showed nothing but heart and I loved getting a human’s perspective of our Murderbot. “Home” takes place after “Exit Strategy” and before “Fugitive Telemetry”. I suggest reading both of those and coming back to this since it makes more sense to me I think doing that since you need “Exit Strategy” to understand what is going on with some of the characters, and it leads in nicely to what goes on in “Fugitive Telemetry.” […]
