Many moons ago I took part in Cannonball Read II, under the name Teabelly. A lot has changed since then, and I now have five year old twin girls. I'm not getting as much reading done, but I'm hoping to make a half Cannonball at least.

Bingo Square: Take the Skies (has dragons and riders) Violet Sorrengail has always known she would not be a dragon rider like her brother and sister before her, she’s far too delicate and would die even attempting to train. She’s going to be a scribe and hang out with books and history, where it’s safe. But then her mother, a general, decrees that Violet will join the cadets after all. And now Violet has to survive various tests – as well as murderous students – […]

Bingo Square: Bodies, Bodies (lots of talk about the female body and menopause, but also dead bodies) Three middle aged women, tired of being ignored and facing hideous sexism, band together to take on a serial killer. Nessa hears the call of dead girls, coming from near the ocean. She was told she had this gift when she was a child, and it would surface when she was much older. Now she can’t rest until she helps these lost souls. Jo’s hot flashes are almost […]
