I like books, but my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Disclaimer: I do not actually eat books.

Caitycat's Reviews:

“But maybe you carried your demons with you everywhere, the way you carry your shadow”

May 10, 2014 by Caitycat Leave a Comment

Panic is a game played by the outgoing senior class. Anyone brave enough has to perform a series of dares, some of them dangerous enough to cause injury or death. Whoever wins gets the pot, thousands of dollars that can change the lives of the teenagers in the small town. It has its moments, but I wasn’t really into the book. You can read my full review here.

“He was trapped in the disaster of himself and couldn’t find a way out”

May 10, 2014 by Caitycat Leave a Comment

This is a story about the Scar Boys, a little known band made up of four high school students. It’s told by Harry, who was tied to a tree in a lightning storm as a child and has severe scars all over his face and body. For a little while they are on top of the world. As all VH1 Behind the Music episodes reveal, this doesn’t last forever. You can read my full review here.

Dear Killer

March 30, 2014 by Caitycat Leave a Comment

This is a story about a teenage girl who is one of the most elusive killers in London. A lot of the details make the story seem unbelievable, but it was okay if you suspend belief a bit. You can read my full review here.

Avalon

I really liked this new series by the author of The Nightmare Affair. It’s got a really likable main character, and themes similar to the show Firefly. You can read my review here.

If you feel like Downton Abbey needs a splash of dystopia, you’re in luck!

March 17, 2014 by Caitycat Leave a Comment

This was an interesting mix of courtship, kind of Jane Austen-ish society romance with a dystopian story that was a lot like The Hunger Games. There’s a complicated class system, mysterious but hunky suitor, and all kinds of secrets and lies. It sort of feels like a book that was written specifically to appeal to me. Well, me and the millions of other people who like those things. You can read my full review of Landry Park here.

Conclusion to the Legend Trilogy

March 4, 2014 by Caitycat Leave a Comment

The third and final book in the Legend series. I thought that it ended really well. The series as a whole was pretty good. You can read my full review here.
