Don’t turn me home again, I just can’t face myself alone again

June 12, 2016 by Malin Leave a Comment

Thomas Turner, better known to his fellow Reign of Terror motorcycle brothers as Razor, is conflicted. He wants to be unquestionably loyal, but when a police detective reveals new information about his mother’s death, he can’t leave the case alone, despite warnings from his father and other gang members. Having always believed she committed suicide, he’s compelled to find out whether the Reign of Terror were in fact involved in her alleged murder. Breanna Miller has always felt like an outcast, both in school and […]

A good book, but I still prefer the Lizzie Bennet Diaries

June 12, 2016 by Malin Leave a Comment

3.5 stars I have mentioned more than once my immense fondness and love for the YouTube series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I read the companion book about Lizzie, and the sequel of sorts, about Lydia. I was of the opinion that Pride and Prejudice had been modernised pretty successfully already. But as we have seen in the last few years with the many different iterations of Sherlock Holmes, in films, books and TV, a really good thing can inspire a lot of different interpretations. Eligible […]

Princesses doing it for themselves

June 11, 2016 by Malin 3 Comments

3.5 stars And they all lived happily ever after… Or did they? What happens after we close the story books and leave the princes and princesses to the rest of their lives? Danielle Whiteshore, popularly known as Cinderella, is having some trouble adjusting to life as a royal, having been treated no better than a slave by her vicious stepmother and stepsisters until her sudden elevation in status upon marriage to Prince Armand. Even though they were nothing but awful to her, she still feels bad […]

How are all these sports romances so hot when I don’t care even a little bit about sports?

May 6, 2016 by Malin 7 Comments

4.5 stars Summary from Goodreads: They don’t play for the same team? Or do they? Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.  Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a […]

The Vicar and the Erotica Writer

May 6, 2016 by Malin Leave a Comment

Lady Sarah Frampton may be the daughter of a duke with a sizable dowry, but she’s known as the Watching Wallflower and is on her way to be firmly on the shelf. No one knows that behind her impeccable manners, the quiet and ever-observant Lady Sarah is in fact the author of a series of highly successful erotic novels. As The Lady of Dubious Quality, the virginal Lady Sarah uses the knowledge she’s acquired from illicit French novels to write out all her sexual fantasies […]
