So, I have read everything (I think) Liz Price has written except for the Clarence comic (no idea who that is), Rocko’s Modern Life Volume 2 (no interest in it at all), Science Comics: Frogs: Awesome Amphibians (but plan on it and hopefully soon as I think it is a cool subject) and Adventure Time Compendium Vol. 1 (seriously no interest at all). Oh, also anything in Spanish like Tomboy. Or at least I have read what I can find via my store’s search engine.
Which includes reading Alone Forever: The Singles Collection. Which are even more fun and relatable comics. I told someone if you like your relationship status that this could be a fun read as you can safely know you are in a relationship, but if you wanted to feel bad about your relationship, maybe you should not read it. Or maybe you should read this as it will help you not feel so alone. Or maybe it will make you feel good, because you know, you are not alone. At least in spirit,.
And Prince has spirit. She is willing to put it out there for us. She is willing to in some ways make a little fun of herself and her romances. Or lack thereof. She knows the third wheel, the dating issues, the going to concerts where she looks like the men (minus a beard). She is willing to let us sympathize with her, commiserate with her, but never pity. Because I think she was enjoying life, the experiences, learning who she is and was.
