So one of my friends got me this book and also a bird watching book along with a gardening book that I am really enjoying. I should be able to post about those soonish once I get this done. Anyway, my one friend is really into crystals, growing plants to dry so she can make teas and other things with them along with growing tons of food/plants to make meals with. When I was a kid I loved crystals, but didn’t really get a chance to study them too much because growing up in a religious household, anything that even smacked of “dark magic/Satanism” I wasn’t allowed to do.
This book is really cool because it gives you a breakdown of the crystals, the color, where they can be found, and what types of chakras they are supposed to be placed on (if you are into that). Also it even gives you a little check box to let you know if you can cleanse them by water.
The book delves into minerals, versus crystals, versus rocks, gemstones, etc. The differences between polished vs. raw and how crystals are supposed to work.
From there it gets into how to find the crystals listed (FYI, I got mine at a local store nearby my house and so far I have now gotten amazonite, amber, amethyst, ametite, apophyllite, aura quartz, azurite, bloodstone, emerald, garnet, rose quartz, and fool’s gold).
How to cleanse crystals (via moonlight, water, sunlight, breathe, etc.)
And even into what crystals are good for parts of your house (FYI, I have clear quartz sitting on my window sill in my kitchen right now).
All in all, a really cool coffee table book (it fits in your hand) and something for those of your friends and family that are into crystals.
