Wow. Again the two novellas I read were really good, no notes, five stars for both of them. I got asked about my book last night (I was out eating dinner solo) and I think I maybe got a former librarian to give this series a try. I love meeting book lovers out in the wild.
Rogue Protocol-I will just say this ending gutted me, but I loved everything that lead up to it. We have Murderbot focusing on gathering evidence against GrayCris Corporation and he has to return back to where he didn’t want to go, back to Milu. We have Murderbot getting more used to “stupid” humans and being frustrated at some that seem to be seeking their own destruction. Murderbot tries his best to stay undetected until a situation arises that causes him to reveal himself.
Exit Strategy-Murderbot finds out that GrayCris Corporation has kidnapped Dr. Mensah. Murderbot is focused on making sure that the evidence it has gathered will be used to bring the corporation down, but it is determined to save her. We have Murderbot running into old characters in this one, and I maybe laughed a few times at how Murderbot is now realizing (slowly) that it has humans that cares about it. This one was non-stop action at one point. I loved the ending of this and can’t wait to continue the series. I was told though I need to read books 6, 5, and 7 in that order. So that’s what I am going to do.
