I’m still reading the books that will be my first Cannonball 17 reviews, but remembered that I needed to post the bounty sent to me by none other than the generous and glorious Rochelle. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite make it here in time for Christmas, but since I won’t have time to read the books until sometime in early 2025, it didn’t matter all that much.
With the current political climate, it’s unlikely that I will be visiting the US for the next four years (I’m sure most of you understand why), but I hope that some time in the future, I will get the chance to meet Rochelle in person, and also to visit Jenny Lawson’s Nowhere Bookstore. Having books that Rochelle bought for me from that store just makes me more determined to manage it (as long as America doesn’t go full Mad Max in the coming years).
Books I have wanted to read for a long time (in part because of Rochelle’s enthusiastic reviews), a sticker, bookmarks, really awesome space-themed book flags and a lovely card really cheered me up and made my post-Christmas days very happy. Thank you, Rochelle! I am so happy to call you my friend.
