I don’t hate dad jokes (in fact, I have proudly told a few myself) but a bad one is not worth the effort! So, when I see a joke book for kids I usually assume they are going to be at best, okay dad jokes, or jokes that are really not funny if you’re over say five-years-old (maybe six for some).
However, How to Make a Robot Laugh: Funny and Easy to Read Jokes for Children Who Love Robotics and Silly Engineering Humor by Chris Cate and How to Make a Shark Laugh also by Chris Cate and Callisto Kids, there are more good than bad (or at least not really really bad). Each one of these books give us silly jokes and puns “For Kids Who Will Tell Future Dad/Uncle or Aunt Jokes.” Everything is simple and big and cute.
The colors are simple, very basic, but they get things across. There are few details, but what is there allows you to know what is going on. A few rhymes and lots of good times are in the pages of this for ages four to young nine. I read both via online readers, but I do want to see the final results to see how large the books really are, and how the final art is. I have not read them, but there are also the titles How to Make a Penguin Laugh, How to Make an Astronaut Laugh, How to Make a Ninja Laugh and How to Make a Unicorn Laugh.
